Starting today, KakaoStory users will be able to freely upload and share photos and stories, and browse through friends’ Stories from multiple devices by simply logging on with your Kakao Account at story.kakao.com
You, Me, Us, KakaoStory, and the web
The web version of KakaoStory perfectly replicates the design and key features within the mobile app, making it super easy to go back and forth between the mobile app and the web version. Sharing of text, photos or video, access to friends list, browsing friends’ recent updates, etc.—are now made just as convenient on your computer as on your smartphone!
Full access to your friends list - from the web as you would from the app!
Question: Now, what do web versions need that app versions don’t?
Answer: URLs!
For those of you big sharers, and especially for those of you that wanted to share Stories to your non-KakaoStory friends, jump in and designate a unique URL address for your story page. Go to Settings, and set a KakaoStory ID. Its as easy as that and story.kakao.com/yourID can be yours to keep! Also share individual posts as you would share any webpage by clicking on Share and choosing Via URL. Expand the sharing experience and further the joy.
The web version is currently only available in Korean, but will soon be available in English and other languages as well.
Meanwhile, we also decided to give our KakaoStory logo a trendy makeover. The newly rendered logo, a symbol that delineates a quotation mark and a comma simultaneously, represents all we hope KakaoStory to be- a place to share stories with friends, a reflective pause from the hurried pace of everyday life, a memorable moment for sharing.
Pay a visit to story.kakao.com and let the sharing begin!
