Daum Kakao's Pangyo complex* stands out for a few reasons, but for most visitors, the colorful cafe spaces, or Cafe Talks, are the highlights of touring the offices. There’s one location each in the North and South wings of H-Square, which hosts the Pangyo complex. These open spaces provide Daum Kakao members with a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere to hold meetings, enjoy their meals and, of course, get their daily caffeine fixes.
However, Cafe Talk is not just a haven for coffee enthusiasts. In addition to the standard coffee and espresso drinks, the menu also offers fresh juices made from seasonal fruit plus an assortment of organic, herbal and citrus teas. "Talk Specials" like smoothies and, for a decadent treat, affogato round out Cafe Talk’s extensive menu, all of which, snacks and bottled drinks included, are offered at special employee prices.
In addition to the two Cafe Talks, the Pangyo complex also features a free cafeteria on the 3rd floor of the North Wing where coffee, toast, mixed nuts, and soft drinks are offered.
Cafe Talk's have long been established as vibrant hives of activity at the Pangyo complex. Not only is it the perfect place to enjoy homemade lunches or take an afternoon coffee break, it also makes a pretty great place to throw your colleague a surprise birthday party. Frequent afterwork events for yoga, English conversation and wine clubs means Cafe Talk maintains its lively energy long after its bars are closed.
"Whether or not you’re a coffee person, Cafe Talk is a great place to hang out in, and it feels good to know I can come here whenever I need to. I like that it's a place for chit-chat, or work, or whatever I need it to be," said Daum Kakao’s Patrick Park.
*Daum Kakao's Jeju and Hannam complexes have their own cafe spaces, however, the Cafe Talk offerings and design is unique to Pangyo at the moment.
